You Are Just Human

To the left or right,

You dangle your options, maybe you should look down,

But is that really an option?

The devil draws you with vigour,

You stare the devil in the face,

But you are not courageous,

This isn’t courage,

You are fighting for your life,

You are weak,

You are just human.

Ajangila is still a myth,

His mother does not exist,

His father Is no warrior,

His courage fails tests,

No substance.

Your strength is a myth, Alamu,

You are just human,

Frail,

Ordinary.

Mosquito bites you Alamu,

Malaria holds you,

You stutter in place of eloquence,

Your strength is a myth,

You are just human.

Break down Alamu,

Crawl if you must,

You are just human.

Your songs don’t have to be melodious,

You sing well, Alamu,

But you are weak.

Your heart quakes,

It shakes,

Your voice breaks,

But you are just human.

Cry Alamu, break down,

It’s what humans do, and you are not special.

Perhaps, you may find new strength.

About Me

My life’s journey is that of many parts, every day I try to bring all the parts to an agreement, but I am yet to succeed at that, or maybe I shouldn’t even be trying to do it, I really don’t know yet- but while at it, I try to find how each part makes me better, and how each part can make the society better
